Winner of the 2006 What Car? large MPV award, the Chrysler Grand Voyager is one large people mover. With the extremely clever Stow and Go seating, it can be converted into something approaching a removals van in around 30 seconds.
You can flip up anything from one to five seats from the floor of the 'van' in less than 25 seconds with a bit of practice.
The areas into which the seats are stowed can be used as storage compartments when the seats are raised for normal use. These are practical, large and being under substantial covers they are completely hidden from sight.
The area once occupied by the folded-down seats can be used by kids who will also appreciate having their own private storage spots.
Voyager, like most in this class, is happiest with four adults and three children, but seating can cope with adults in all positions. It is a comfortable ride, though some drivers may find the Voyager is slightly soft in the manner preferred by American drivers.
Performance from the big V6 engine is easygoing, with plenty of torque, so you can easily move a decent load of people and their luggage.
It's not exactly economical to run though, in that the engine tends to be a bit thirsty with the fuel if you hustle it along, something that won't do the family budget any good in today's high fuel prices.
When will the Chrysler GRAND VOYAGER be upgraded next?
The next Chrysler GRAND VOYAGER update is expected around April 2008. A range of petrol and diesel engines are expected early 2008. More safety features and better value is expected too!
