ELFIN MS8 review in detail:

Elfin is an Australian company that's been renowned in the sports and racing scene for close to 50 years. It is now being run by the same people as HSV because Walkinshaw Performance has just
acquired Elfin Sports Cars.

Today's Elfin MS8 Streamliner and Clubman use a Holden V8 5.7-litre engine and six-speed
manual gearbox and are small lightweight sports machines with a body designed by the famed Michael Simcoe, the guy who penned the third-generation Monaro.

Holden's 5.7-litre alloy Gen III V8 engine offers huge performance in a car weighing just 1100kg, so the Elfins can do the zero to 100km/h sprint in an awesome four seconds.

The chassis and suspension beneath these pure sports machines were done very much to racing car standards by Elfin itself, with adjustable settings and huge brakes.

Elfin is keen to point out this isn't a kit car, it's fully factory engineered and built in a professional manner.

It complies with Australian Design Rules for its low-volume class.

It can take as long as six months to deliver one as the cars are built to order.

These are the real thing for the driver who wants to get into a pure sporting machine, and not a car for the pretend sporting driver.
