JAGUAR XKR review in detail:

The Jaguar XK-R supercharged high-performance variant has been added to the range.

The installation of 4.2 litres of big V8 under the bonnet of a lightweight all-aluminium machine gives the sort of acceleration that brings a smile to the face of enthusiasts of British sports cars. Indeed, lovers of any type of hot machinery from any country will appreciate what this big Jag is all about.

The 4.2-litre V8 engine beats most of the others even in unsupercharged format, because the XK has the best weight/power ratio in its class. The standard Jaguar XK works nicely if you don't need the blown engine.

The XK is surprisingly agile and great fun to drive for such a large car when pushed hard on a tight, twisting road. That's because the Computer Active Technology Suspension (CATS) adapts virtually instantly to what's happening to the car.

Leave the ZF six-speed automatic transmission in Drive and it makes city driving easy and quiet. Move the shift lever across to Sport mode and the computer adapts the shift patterns to the driver's current style of driving. It seems to have the ability to sense exactly what the driver wants when in Sports mode.
