PEUGEOT 607 review in detail:

The large Peugeot 607 is an excellent cruiser for four adults as it has the space efficiency of front-wheel drive and a lot of rear legroom. It's an upmarket French saloon with strikingly modern styling.

The boot is also handy, being well shaped and easy to load, making this a great family car alternative.

The overall refinement standard of the largest Peugeot car is high, particularly during freeway cruising.

Twisting roads are not its thing however, and it's not as enjoyable to drive hard and fast as its smaller brothers in the Peugeot stable.

Once you get it up into the midrange of its rev band where it simply hums along with minimum effort, engine performance from the modern V6 is particularly good.

This is a high-tech machine, with automatic headlights and windscreen wipers, electronic suspension and stability control, tyre pressure monitor and even an air-conditioned glovebox.

For buyers looking for something that's really out of the ordinary they should certainly give this topline Peugeot saloon serious consideration.

Discriminating owners find it a pleasant way of getting out of the rut of German prestige machines.
