RENAULT GRAND SCENIC review in detail:

The grandly named Renault Grand Scenic has arrived in Australia.

It features an extra pair of seats to bring it all the way up to a seven-seater, which seats fold down into the floor when not in use, and is longer in the wheelbase and in the body than the standard Renault Scenic.

The room provided is pretty good for a vehicle of this compact size, but there's not a huge amount of space in the back seat or in the boot with all seats in use.

Two large adults, two average-sized adults and three children should travel in comfort. This comfort is enhanced by typically competent French suspension.

ESP is standard in all Scenic, five and seven seaters as Renault is one of the world leaders in road safety.

There is an interesting centrally mounted digital dash in Scenic's interior.

The central location is easy enough to glance across to, but some drivers could feel that the digital displays seem to take their attention off the road for too long.

There is also push-button operation of the engine start/stop operation and 'credit-card' key.

It has a lovely solid feel to the body that should give it a long life. Those drivers looking for a dash of French flair can do so without fear with this vehicle.
