RENAULT MEGANE review in detail:

A big feature of these French machines is fascinating styling, particularly in the hatchback models.

The shape is something that has grabbed the attention of a lot of trendsetters, as the stylists have used an interesting combination of sharp edges and clever shut lines. This is something that the car needs because Renaults haven't had the success they deserve in Australia at this stage.

On the road, the Megane Phase II has a sharp feel and excellent steering that make it appeal to the keen drivers.

Yet it achieves this handling without sacrificing comfort.

Even in the vast expanses of the Australian outback, this is an excellent long-distance car.

Renault is one of the leaders in the safety field so it comes as no surprise that the latest versions of the Megane have a strong emphasis in the safety area.

They come with the life-saving potential of ESP (Electronic Stability Program) in every model, amongst many other safety features.

Only petrol engines are brought into Australia at this stage, but the importer is seriously considering turbo-diesel units so it can only be a matter of time before they arrive.
