VOLKSWAGEN EOS review in detail:

The Volkswagen Eos is a two-door, four-seat convertible. Its retractable hardtop design combines the open-air experience of a traditional ragtop with the security and comfort of a coupe's fixed roof.

Of course, the highlight of the Volkswagen Eos is its retractable hardtop. VW calls it the CSC (coupe-sunroof-convertible) and it employs a unique five-panel roof that transforms the coupe's hardtop into an open-air convertible in just 25 seconds. It includes a surprisingly large sunroof and heated glass rear window. Cleverly, it also has a conventional sunroof built into the folding roof.

With the roof up, the Eos can cope with up to 380 litres of luggage. With the roof stacked away, there is still a reasonable 205 litres available.

Eos offers two 2.0-litre engines, one a turbo-diesel, the other a turbo-petrol.

We are impressed with the refinement of the Eos with the roof closed, but found it noisier than expected with the top down, probably because of the large opening created. There's virtually no scuttle shake.

There's good space in the front seats and back seats can cope with adults for legroom, but can be a bit tight for headroom.
