HOLDEN EPICA review in detail:

Holden has a good-looking car with the newly launched Epica, with more than a share of the looks of the VE Commodore around the tail. The Epica is quite large on the outside, and in fact, it's not that far from the Commodore in exterior dimensions.

Interior space in the Epica is disappointing as it could be expected to have more rear legroom in a car of this size with a transverse engine.

Holden made a return to its roots under the Epica's bonnet, because for the first time in over a decade we have a Holden with a straight six engine.

Actually, two straight sixes are on offer, with capacities of 2.0 litres and 2.5 litres.

The new Epica has a choice of two five-speed transmissions, either manual or automatic.

GM-Daewoo builds the Epica in South Korea, but there was a fair bit of Australian input to the design, particularly in the suspension and steering, which were tested and modified after test sessions at the Holden proving ground in Victoria.

Holden is offering a money-back guarantee on the mid-sized six-cylinder Epica.
The money-back guarantee, however, is only valid provided you satisfy the following terms and conditions:

- The vehicle must be returned within 30 days and with fewer than 1500 kilometres on the clock.
- The vehicle must be damage-free.
- Proof must be provided that you have purchased (or will purchase) a new vehicle of equal or greater value than the Epica you're handing back.

When will the HOLDEN EPICA be updated next?
