Price of fuel giving you a migraine? Want to do your best to reduce your carbon footprint and help the environment? Feel like being part of the future, and not part of the past? There are endless reasons to switch to an electric vehicle, but the first two listed above are by far the best. […]
3 Ways You Can Start Preparing For The Electric Vehicle Switch
If someone told you 20 years ago that you’d be seeing hybrid cars left, right and centre, as well as fully electric vehicles on the road, what would you have said? Probably that they were crazy, right? We’ve come so far in terms of embracing green technology in our cars and we’re only going greener; […]
Hybrid cars are all the rage right now. In Australia, hybrid car sales tripled between 2020 and 2021 – and they’re only going to increase in popularity. Though they still only make up less than 2% of new car sales, more and more car manufacturers are producing hybrids, meaning more and more people are going […]
During the peak of COVID-19 lockdowns and restrictions, there was a once hopeful phrase that helped us cling on to the remainder of our sanity: when things return to normal. Back then, it seemed as realistic as saying, ‘when pigs fly’ or ‘when the Gold Coast Suns win a premiership’. But as things finally are […]
In today’s global society, the perks of being intrinsically connected to other countries are plentiful. We benefit from trading resources with other countries. We get exposed to different cultures and learn about the ways of life of others. We can travel quite freely and easily. But these advantages can sometimes come with a catch: events […]
In Australia, there’s two things that usually unite people of all walks of life: the weather, and petrol prices. Right now, we’re feeling pretty ‘united’, you could put it. But sadly, our unity isn’t the nice kind, where we all work together and make social progress. Instead, our unity is one of being royally ticked […]
We can all picture the stereotypical, ‘bad guy’ car dealer. He’s either a charismatic, seemingly friendly, smiling-but-barely-concealing-his-fangs type operator – or he’s blunt and nasty, like Danny Devito as Matilda’s dad in the movie Matilda. So, when it comes to the nasty tricks of these nasty characters, what are we supposed to look out for? […]
Car brokers are similar to superheroes. Well, sort of… but instead of being able to fly and brush off archenemies with laser vision, they help you get the best deal when purchasing a car. But what they do have in common with superheroes is that they defeat the ‘baddies’ – i.e. shifty car dealers who […]
Novated leases are an awesome way to secure a new whip. With so many benefits like payable tax reduction, ease of upgrading and more, there’s no wonder why novated leases are such a popular way of car ‘ownership’. But what about when it comes to one of the most important aspects of driving a vehicle: […]
Ever been to a car dealer to trade in your car, and the price they give you is well below what you think it’s worth? Sure, we all know that the dealer has to resell your car for a little more than what they paid you for it – that part is expected. But when […]
Being a single woman, the thing I appreciated most was not being ripped off by sleazy car salesmen. I actually paid much less than a guy working in my office who bought (almost) the same car!
I've been with the RACV for over 10 years. I just didn't realise what a premium I was paying for the service. Going with your car insurance recommendation and the roadside assist is saving me several hundred dollars every year!
Thanks for your help. Must admit I was very sceptical in dealing 'on line' with an unknown person/company. As a single woman I don't want the hassle of going backwards and forwards, playing one dealer off the other. I used the internet to get a measure of what's reasonable and then it's 'give me your best price' no second chance. Some people can't get their head around that but life's too short. I only want to deal with ethical people. I'm happy that a salesperson makes a profit but it has to be fair for both parties. Thanks and I'll be recommending your site to friends.
I'd like to take this opportunity to say that this is a fantastic service you offer, especially for a woman as it takes away the pain of dealing with car salesmen. Using your service saved me thousands of dollars and I will definitely recommend you to all my friends and colleagues, in fact one has already logged on to get a quote today.
I picked up my new Nissan Patrol on Friday afternoon. I would like to thank you for all the work you did on my behalf and the fantastic price you secured my new car for. It was so good not to have to do the rounds of the car yards and try to beat car sales people at what they do best. Your website was also great with tips on how to sell my other car as well as all the other information available on it. The dealership was very professional as well and the car was ready as promised and in a very nice condition.
This is the very first time that I have ever bought anything via the internet, or ever done any business over this means, and so I want to specially thank you for honouring my trust. Yet you also did much more than that, you got me a far bigger saving, (over twice that which I imagined possible), with a good and reputable dealer, delivered at our nominated timing, and you displayed great patience with myself through the process. This is my wife's very first new car and she is absolutely delighted with it. So much so, that she has not even allowed me to have a drive of it yet. And so I guess we have all been winners, haven't we? And what could be better than that?
Thanks for the quote. I am kicking my self slightly. In the weekend I went to my local dealer to test drive the car and was offered exactly my spec with 1500km on the clock. 3 months old for $55K (the GMs car). I had to make a call on the spot because another chap was also looking at it. I thought this would be pretty hard to beat so i went for it. If i had waited i guess i would have an absolutely new car and with 12 months worth of rego not 9. We live and learn. Next time. Thanks and regards
I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the discounts of RRP that the dealer was putting down, more than made up for the cost of the fog lights and the paint protection which I optioned in! I signed the dotted line and bought my first brand new Hyundai. I will take delivery less than a week after signing, which I find quite impressive.
It is a sorely needed service as we have had nothing but stress and grief with the dealers we have approached ourselves.
Chris, You are a champ. Your advice on the trade-in worked a treat. I have a buyer at $14,280. A cool $2280 above the original figure! Thanks mate!
