The Hyundai GRANDEUR Review in detail:

$make $model Reviews
Like other Hyundais, the Grandeur is a value leader in its segment, offering a price tag that undercuts top competitors. But the 2007 Hyundai Grandeur is more just than a good deal: It feels like a premium car on the inside and delivers on that promise when you actually drive it.

The interior provides the sort of ambience that usually costs tens of thousands of dollars more and has an elegant look that works well.

Rear seat space lets two long-legged adults get comfortable in the back seat with plenty of headroom.

Power comes from a 3.8-litre V6 engine that has good pulling power from the mid range upwards.

The automatic transmission follows the lead of the engine nicely and is smooth and precise in its actions. Indeed, the overall performance of the powertrain is as good as that of many upmarket European cars. Not quite so European is the Grandeur's suspension; it is quite soft in the way it handles and steers. If your taste is for a sporting sedan, chances are you may be disappointed, but if you lean towards pleasant cruising you will be more than happy.

Hyundai equips every Grandeur with antilock disc brakes, traction control, stability control, active front head restraints, front-seat side airbags and full-length side curtain airbags. The 2007 Hyundai Grandeur scored four out of five stars in NHTSA frontal-impact crash tests and received a perfect five stars in side-impact crash testing. In IIHS tests, the Grandeur earned a top score of "Good" for its protection of passengers in frontal offset crashes, and a score of "Acceptable" (the second-highest rating) in side-impact testing.

Quality of build is becoming ever higher in Hyundais and it's hard to fault either the body or the way the interior is put together. There are many signs of attention to detail in the cabin that are often only found in cars considerably more expensive.
