Extended Car Warranty Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the catch? Why are your prices so much lower, and is everything “above board”?Firstly, you may contact us and discuss any pre-purchase concerns you have. Also, there are some major “catches” you need to be aware of:
- The car must be in good condition when you purchase the warranty. This means you can not buy a warranty for an already broken down car and use the Extended Warranty to pay for the repair costs.
- Our Extended Warranty products are not substitute for servicing your vehicles.
- Our Extened Warranty and Insurance Policies are not the same type of products
Do I really need an Extended Warranty for my car?
With the complexity of today’s vehicles, one major repair usually costs more than the extended warranty. Hourly labor rates can top $100 or more per hour in some markets.
Since the warranty is transferable, it increases the resale value to potential buyers. Who wouldn’t want to own a vehicle that comes protected from repair bills?
Can I buy this same type of coverage through my dealer?
Many warranties sold at dealerships specify that the car must be serviced at the dealership where you bought the warranty. Read the fine print and make sure you know what you are buying.
Is my warranty transferable?
Absolutely! You can transfer the warranty to another private purchaser of your vehicle. Vehicles with extended warranties typically offer much higher resale values because the buyer knows they are not going to get hit with huge repair costs. A small fee applies on transfers.
Does it matter if my original car warranty has expired already?
No. Many other warranties require that your original warranty must not have expired (and in some cases must have 50,000Kms left on them). With our Extended Warranties, there are no such restrictions – all you need is a Condition Report showing the car is in good condition.
My car is old, and I bought it privately. Can I still get a warranty?
Yes. Privately bought cars are no problem. The only restriction is that it must be worth more than $3,000 and have a Condition Report showing the car is in good condition. An extended warranty is especially useful when buying privately as no warranty is given by the seller in this circumstance. It basically provides a breakdown insurance to make sure you do not lose a large amount of money.

It is a sorely needed service as we have had nothing but stress and grief with the dealers we have approached ourselves.

I am impressed by your professional approach with your customers. Therefore, I have already recommended your service to my collegues, friends. I would again use your service in the future when I buy the next car for my wife. I will continue support you and your dealers in the future as you all are doing wonderful jobs!

Delivering what you promise is the foundation of good business. I am sure that's why you sell so many cars for people like myself. Keep up the good work!

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the discounts of RRP that the dealer was putting down, more than made up for the cost of the fog lights and the paint protection which I optioned in! I signed the dotted line and bought my first brand new Hyundai. I will take delivery less than a week after signing, which I find quite impressive.

Just a brief note to say thanks for your outstanding service. You managed to find a dealer who was prepared to reduce the purchase by some $6750 inclusive of all costs and then you went further by haggling for a better trade in for me giving me a change over cost of exactly $13500 less... THAT I CALL SERVICE...I shall certainly be singing your praises.

Negotiating a deal with a professional car salesman is tough and time-consuming, especially if you don't have a lot of local experience. Having someone act on your behalf creates an advantage that can't be ignored, and I have to say the $4,900 saving that I achieved off a $43,300 vehicle via Carbroker.com.au is definitely worth the minimal cost of registering an interest at the Carbroker.com.au web site. Thanks to Chris Wilson for this much-appreciated service.

Thanks for the quote. I am kicking my self slightly. In the weekend I went to my local dealer to test drive the car and was offered exactly my spec with 1500km on the clock. 3 months old for $55K (the GMs car). I had to make a call on the spot because another chap was also looking at it. I thought this would be pretty hard to beat so i went for it. If i had waited i guess i would have an absolutely new car and with 12 months worth of rego not 9. We live and learn. Next time. Thanks and regards
